Replacement of Cold Water Storage Tanks at Baddow Hall Junior School

Scope of Works:

Replacement of Cold Water Storage Tanks located on the school roof.

This project involved the removal of asbestos under controlled conditions - followed by the draining down of the cold water system and removal of the existing cold water tanks from the roof.

The new installation was for 2 Sarena GRP pre insulated tanks on new bases with all associated pipework, insulated and tested. Frost protection heaters and new lighting were also fitted and a new access doorway fitted into the water tank housing to assist with future maintenance. The tanks were chlorinated and a new Water Risk Assessment carried out. Specialised lifting equipment was used to remove the old tanks and lift new ones into position on the school roof - all work carried out within a secure perimeter.
